My dad taught me how to read, how to write and ultimately, how to escape the painful infinity of reality. He assured me that the world I saw through the rose-colored, finger paint-smudged lenses of innocence could be sustained, maintained and immortalized within the confines of my imagination. He was kinda cool, eh?!
My Dad taught me the power of humility. As the father of six, he always made us feel that no matter what, we are loved and accepted. And regardless of the circumstances of any situation, everything would always be Okay...love you sheriff...
all about the ocean and shore... everything we could ever want to know...his passion about it is shared with my kids by him directly and thru me... passing along and sharing a passion is a true gift...
My dad taught me to keep smiling. Not because you're pretending to be something you're not, but because circumstances are temporary and God, love, and family are forever. He taught me to count my blessings in good times and bad. He IS one!

Wow, what cool things your dads have taught you! Thank you for sharing. My dad taught me that it's never too late to do what you love.
